This cross is named Ophanim, in honor of the ophanim – the heavenly thrones, angels that carry the Divine. Their name comes from the Hebrew opannim, meaning "wheels," and they represent the celestial chariot that moves swiftly from the highest realms of creation.
In the vision of the prophet Ezekiel, the ophanim are described as "wheels within wheels," stormy and full of eyes, part of the merkabah, the celestial chariot that carries the throne of God – symbolizing spiritual movement and divine vision.
This is the call of the Ophanim: to remind you that to access the highest realms of creation, you need a heavenly vehicle that transcends the limits of the Ego – wheels of light that spin beyond matter, guided by the sharp and infinite eyes of your Divine Self.
